Description
Brake resistors are used in various types of electric power inverters. These types of resistors are made up of a ceramic inner layer with a zinc layer, which can be used for this type of braking resistance using a refractory layer.
Brake resistors may be made of a copper-nickel or nickel-chromium plating, both of which withstand a wide range of temperatures. The number and type of windings varies depending on the required resistance.
The brake resistance is used to absorb the energy of the electromotor when it enters the generating mode. Also, these resistors are also used in the DC Link motor drive. Brake resistors are usually active at short intervals and cause the electrical energy generated by the brakes to heat. The brake resistance (charge resistance) also used in the inverter.
